Michael and Roderick

September 29, 2013

After 23 years together, Michael and Roderick got married. They were surrounded by close friends, loving family, and great works of art. The Sculpture Gardens at the Baltimore Museum of Art was the perfect location for their intimate ceremony. Everyone happily watched as the grooms read each other vows underneath a dear friend’s colorful handmade chuppah. I felt honored to be photographing such a touching ceremony. Shortly after everyone moved over to the terrace of Gertrude’s Restaurant for lunch and dancing. A jazz duo perfectly complimented the relaxed atmosphere of the day.

It was my hope to give them loose and fun pictures from their special day. I tried different spots, took advantage of the great natural light, and hoped to convey a feeling of love throughout the photos. I even got a spin on the dance floor courtesy of Roderick.
